In His Presence

I like to have worship music playing throughout the day.  I like to listen to God’s word daily.  When I do this, I can step into His presence and be filled. God never leaves us!  He is always there.  All we have to do is step into his presence through His word, prayer, and worship.  I have come to see the importance of spending my day with Him.  There is a hope every day.  It is important to spend time with God daily in those days when there is no trial.  I think many times we do not reach out and call out to God until we are faced with brokenness.  We call out because we have nowhere else to go.  We come in hopelessness. Why do we leave God as our last option? Why do we wait until we have no more hope? Spend your days in Gods presence so that when your trials come you don’t have to “seek” him, because you are in his presence daily.  You will not feel hopeless because He is your first choice when it comes to healing and breakthrough.

I came to this realization in my life because my daughter had recently been diagnosed with scoliosis.  She had an appointment with a specialist to see how to best treat her condition.  I felt anxious because her appointment was about a month away. I was relying on this visit with the specialist to get her back healed.  I know that God can use many vessels to bring healing and breakthrough, but that is what they are, vessels and tools in His hands.  I felt the word of God come over me at that very moment.  “I am her healer! Start praying now. Don’t wait until you see the specialist. He is but a tool in my hands. Start praying now! Her healing will come from me!”.

 See, when you praise him and step into his presence daily, you are reminded of his greatness every day! When you are faced with a trial or circumstance you don’t have to come to him in brokenness, but in hope!

 Psalm 103:2-5

 “Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,

And do not forget any of His benefits;

Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases;

Who redeems you from the pit,

Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercy;

Who satisfies your years with good things,

So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.
