How many times a day do negative thoughts come into your mind? Negative thoughts about how you just can't do this or the other. Negative thoughts about how you will never get out of the circumstance you are in. Negative thoughts that the enemy has set in your mind to keep you from knowing the power you have to accomplish great things in your day and your life. Resists these thoughts and speak words of truth into your day. Through Christ, we have authority over these strongholds. Claim your blessings and destroy these negative thoughts that keep you captive. Do not agree with them, but speak words that build you up and believe it. After you have spoken against these thoughts do works that the show you believe the truth you have spoken over yourself. What are you working towards? Keeping your household in order? Starting your fitness journey? Getting out of debt? Finishing school? What is it? Start taking the steps towards your goal. It is yours, but you have to take possession of it.
God told the Israelites to take possession of the land He had promised them, but they had to drive out the inhabitants in order to take the land. When they sent spies to explore the land, they came back with a report. They reported the people they saw were of great size and that the land they explored would devour those living in it. Only Caleb and Joshua trusted in the promise God had given them. Because the Israelites rebelled and allowed fear and negative thoughts to enter their minds, the Lord did not allow that generation to see the promised land.
Take those false arguments and make them captive and obedient to God's word. Move forward in confidence and faith. Even when it seems hard and you have fear. When you have faith, you will able to see beyond your struggle, you will be able to take a hold of negative thoughts, and you will be able to overcome and be victorious.
"We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
"Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."
